Anthony Ramos Teases His Exciting ‘Ironheart’ Character: “He is the coolest villain in Marvel history”

In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced the development of a Disney+ television series titled ‘Ironheart.’

Now 3 years after her first appearance, it looks like the wait is finally over for Riri as her show will release in 2025.

We know that ‘Ironheart’ will follow Riri after her return back home to Chicago and she will discover “dangerous threads that bring danger and adventure”.

This sort of aligns with rumors we covered several months ago, that the show will focus on your classical “overcome all bad things despite your circumstances” tropes with a mix of demons, magic going haywire, and a 17-year-old vendetta coming to light.

Sometime ago Anthony Ramos was confirmed to play Parker Robbins aka The Hood in the show. Robbins starts as a petty criminal from New York City who stumbles upon a mystical hooded cloak and boots during a robbery. These items, which originally belonged to a demon, grant him the powers of levitation and invisibility. Using these newfound abilities, Robbins adopts the alias “the Hood” and begins to climb the ranks of the criminal underworld.

Anthony Ramos recently appeared on the Official Marvel Podcast and commented on his character claiming that it’s the coolest villain in Marvel history:

He is amazing. He is incredible. He is the coolest villain in Marvel history. Iʼm excited for the Hood and Riri Williams face-off. Itʼs a really cool build up to that in the story and itʼs a really intense rivalry. […] Parker is a really complex guy, and we really worked hard to make him a dynamic character.

“Ironheart” is set for release on Disney+ in 2025, comprising six episodes. The first episode is tentatively scheduled for release on September 3, 2025, according to a filing with the United States Copyright Office.

The main cast of the show will see Dominique Thorne reprise her role as Riri Williams, Alden Ehrenreich will portray Joe McGillicuddy, Lyric Ross will play Natalie Washington, Matthew Elam will portray Xavier Washington, Anji White will play Ronnie Williams. Harper Anthony, Zoe Terakes, Regan Aliyah, Shakira Barrera, Rashida “Sheedz” Olayiwola, Sonia Denis, Paul Calderón, Cree Summer, and Sacha Baron Cohen are currently in undisclosed roles.
