Leaked D23 ‘Ironheart’ Trailer Shows Riri Williams Building “Something Undeniable”

In July 2018, a film based on the Marvel Comics character Riri Williams/Ironheart had a script written by Jada Rodriguez and was listed on The Black List. However, the film did not materialize. In December 2020, Marvel Studios announced the development of a Disney+ television series titled ‘Ironheart.’

Now 3 years after her first appearance, it looks like the wait is finally over for Riri as her show will release in 2025.

During this year’s Marvel Studios D23 event what appears to be the first trailer of ‘Ironheart’ was shown to the audiences, and fortunately for you, someone leaked it online.

You can check it out below:

In case the video is removed by the time you get the opportunity to watch it, here’s the description:

The footage opens with a scene from ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever’ where Dominique Thorne debuts as Riri Williams, also known as Ironheart. The story then shifts to Riri’s life post-internship abroad, where she feels “stuck.” Before she was expelled from MIT, Riri said she wanted to build something undeniable. She also encounters Parker Robbins, aka The Hood (portrayed by Anthony Ramos), who tempts her with the notion that achieving greatness often involves making morally questionable choices, asking her if she’s “in or out.”

The trailer then showcases Ironheart in action, with Riri flying in her suit, scenes of money falling from the sky, and highlights of the dangerous choices she makes to pursue her dreams. The footage ends with an intense moment where she crashes into the front of a truck, sending it flying, and a brief glimpse of another white version of her suit in action, hinting at more to come.

Dominique Thorne stars as Riri Williams/Ironheart, an MIT student and genius inventor who creates a suit rivaling Iron Man’s. Anthony Ramos plays Parker Robbins/The Hood, a complex ally of Riri who uses dark arts and magic. The cast also includes Alden Ehrenreich as Joe McGillicuddy, Lyric Ross as Riri’s best friend Natalie, and Anji White as Riri’s mother. Other notable actors like Shea Couleé, Jim Rash (reprising his role as the Dean of MIT), and Sacha Baron Cohen appear in undisclosed roles.

‘Ironheart’ is set to premiere on Disney+ in 2025 as part of Phase Five of the MCU and will consist of six episodes. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
