One of Marvel’s Most Powerful Characters Rumored To Appear in the Upcoming ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’

Kevin Feige, the mastermind behind the MCU and its primary architect, has been pivotal in shaping the Marvel Cinematic Universe with his creative vision and guidance. In a recent interview, Feige addressed several key questions about the MCU’s future and his upcoming projects.

The upcoming Fantastic Four film is a major focus for Marvel, as the studio aims to finally get this franchise right after several previous attempts fell short. Feige is determined to succeed this time and is bringing in significant talent to ensure its success.

We’re already aware of the main cast and that Galactus will be the primary villain, suggesting the inclusion of a version of the Silver Surfer. However, there’s another major revelation to share, as confirmed by The Cosmic Circus podcast.

As previously reported, Feige has confirmed in an interview that the Fantastic Four film is a top priority for him. This suggests that the movie will receive significant attention and that the MCU is committed to delivering its best effort.

Jumping off of that, how does it feel to be the person who’s had that connection with “X-Men” and now you’re the one who’s helping bring the X-Men into the MCU proper? Does it feel like a full-circle moment for you?

It does. It also feels like that promise fulfilled for Marvel Studios, to be able to have access to those characters for the first time — and not just the X-Men, [but] the Fantastic Four. It’s great, and it feels like being able to take everything we’ve learned over the years and now apply them to “Fantastic Four,” which we start shooting [this] week, and to the X-Men, starting with “Deadpool & Wolverine.”

Given this, we’re hopeful that the MCU will deliver a fantastic and deserving Fantastic Four film, with the team becoming a significant part of the MCU’s future. It appears Marvel shares this optimism. According to The Cosmic Circus podcast, which covered the Marvel Studios Hall H Panel at SDCC, something substantial is on the horizon.

Podcast host Brian Kitson and writers Anthony Flagg and Alex Perez, the latter of whom is an insider with a significant scoop, have shared exciting details about what’s coming.

A: But now, now we can transition to the next portion of the show because it’s important to note that the Fantastic Four will return for these next two movies.

B: Yeah, both of them. And in fact, I think they even said, or I should say, I saw tweets that said in the hall, they said that the characters of Captain America, the characters of Fantastic Four and the characters of Thunderbolts are all coming back for both of these.

A: That is correct. The Thunderbolts are expected to come back. I’m… I’m 100% it’s going to be Yelena and Bucky Barnes. I don’t think the others might come back. But Yelena and Bucky Barnes, 100% are going to show up. Cap Four, you have Captain America, you have Joaquin Torres. I don’t think Isaiah Bradley, excuse me, Isaiah Bradley is going to be in, in this one. I don’t think Red Hulk is going to show up in this one either.

But, and then Fantastic Four, you’re 100% getting all four of the, you’re getting all four of the family. You’re going to get Franklin. So, oh yeah, that’s actually a spoiler. Franklin Richards is in Fantastic Four and the Future Foundation. And that’s going to be, the Future Foundation is going to be fun because it’s Fantastic Four is not an origin story per se. It’s like, all right, here’s a little bit of origin story. The Fantastic Four exists and then boom, jump start into the future.

And the Fantastic Four no longer exists and everybody’s just kind of doing their own thing and they only come back when Galactus decides to show up and destroy their world. So, spoilers, hey, but that’s why we’re here. That’s why we’re here. But yeah, Future Foundation is going to be a very, very interesting talk point for this movie in particular for Fantastic Four. And it’s also going to be a very important part of the multiverse. If anyone’s ever read Secret Wars, you know what I’m talking about.

This is a huge scoop! As you might be aware, Franklin Richards is one of the most powerful characters in Marvel, and while the film may introduce a less formidable version of him, it’s still exciting news and a significant revelation.

Keep in mind, this isn’t an official confirmation—catch the full podcast via the link above for more details—so consider it with some caution. However, if it proves to be accurate, we’re in for something truly spectacular.
