Epic or Tasteless? She-Hulk’s Tatiana Maslany Says Controversial Twerking Scene Was “the Greatest Moment” of Her Life

Tatiana Maslany Thinks That She Hulk Season 2 Is Not Happening Disney Was Like No Thanks

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ was for many fans “where the end began.” The show was notably praised by critics and panned by fans as these things usually go, with little thought given to the story, and the overall feel of the show.

The show was special for several reasons, at no point did it try to present itself as anything other than light-hearted feminist fun. However, that plan for the show went at a steep price, as it was the most expensive project per episode to date. This obviously makes the chances of a second season even slimmer. Maslany’s comments that Iger is out of touch with reality, when multi-millionaire CEO had, during the months-long SAG-AFTRA strike that ground Hollywood to a halt, called the actors’ union’s demands for a fairer wage “unrealistic,” don’t help the odds as well.

But, special effects and Maslany’s were the least of the show’s worries, at least according to the fans, one scene in particular drew ire, and single-handedly managed to tank the show’s ratings, the scene in which Maslany’s She-Hulk and Ginger Gonzaga’s Nikki Ramos twerk in an office of their law firm.

Speaking at Superhero Comic Con recently, Maslany said that this twerking scene was the greatest moment of her life:

I had been to multiple Megan Thee Stallion concerts before this. I was ready. That was the greatest moment of my life.

The actress also commented that her greatest line from the show was related to Captain America and that it almost did not make it to the show:

Captain America f*cks!!!’ Which almost didn’t make it into the show!

Recently, the star also revealed how sexist personal attacks did not bother her all that much, both she and the showrunner had expected it and it was really part of the fun.

I think what’s exciting…I think what’s fun about it is that [series creator] Jessica Gao built into the story that people were going to troll us.When we started to get the same responses that [Gao] had actually baked into the writing, it felt like part of the fun.
