Tomer Capone Discusses What’s Next for Kimiko and Frenchie After the Stunning Season 4 Twist

The Boys stands out as one of the most popular superhero series globally. This darkly innovative take on the superhero genre, adapted from the comic book of the same name, has become a major success for Amazon Prime, pushing TV boundaries in numerous ways.

With four successful seasons and a spin-off series already under its belt, the show is now gearing up for its fifth and final season. Fans have been promised a shocking conclusion, and given the cliffhanger at the end of Season 4, we have every reason to believe them.

While many questions remain about Season 5, the cast has dropped some hints in a recent interview with Variety. This report will focus on the future of the relationship between Frenchie and Kimiko, with insights from Tomer Capone.

As you may know, Season 4 significantly altered the trajectory of Kimiko and Frenchie’s relationship. Initially, they seemed to be a couple, with their chemistry and Frenchie’s caring nature leading many to believe they were romantically involved. This perception was largely accepted without much question.

However, Season 4 introduced changes that shifted this dynamic. We discovered that Frenchie was in a relationship with a man, suggesting he might be gay or bisexual, which sparked speculation that his bond with Kimiko might be purely platonic. Although showrunner Eric Kripke and others have clarified that Frenchie’s LGBTQ identity was established from the start and that this revelation doesn’t affect his relationship with Kimiko, the series further complicates matters. Kimiko’s kiss, intended to reach a brainwashed Frenchie, failed to have the desired impact, leaving their relationship in a state of uncertainty. Here’s what Tomer Capone, who plays Frenchie, had to say about it:

What are your thoughts on where Season 4 ends for Frenchie and Kimiko after he’s taken away, and what you want to see happen in the final season?

TOMER CAPONE: Wow, can it be more exciting than that? It’s like a Romeo-and-Juliet-type of thing. It just makes me more curious, more hyped up, about what the amazing writers and Eric Kripke are cooking up for us for Season 5. It’s just one of those shows where every little detail can mess up the whole arc for a character.

I know the fans want it, and I’m screaming it out: There’s two things that Frenchie is missing, V — and to attend Herogasm. Frenchie and Kimiko will be all right, I think. But life will never be complete without another Herogasm for Frenchie.

This is certainly an intriguing response that gives us hope that the final season will resolve these issues.
