In the last two decades, three actors embodied the character of Peter Parker in live-action movies. Tobey Maguire and Sam Raimi worked together on the original Spider-Man trilogy, with Tobey in the role of Spider-Man, and Sam being the director. In ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ Tobey’s character returned to the big screens after fourteen years, and the rumor is that we might get a new Spider-Man 4 movie with Tobey in the main role again.

Thomas Hayden Church spread this information. This actor is known for portraying Sandman, one of the two main villains in ‘Spider-Man 3’ and was among the Sinister Six in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home.’ He said that he heard rumors that the director of the original Spider-Man trilogy, Sam Raimi and Tobey Maguire, are working together on a new Spider-Man movie, which would be the fourth one in the franchise.

The fans have already expressed their wishes for a Spider-Man sequel

The fans have pleaded for the sequel for years, so it is fair to assume that the movie would definitely be more than welcome. Sam Raimi mentioned once that he would be more than happy to work on another Spider-Man movie, but he wasn’t sure what Marvel Studio’s opinion was.

I don’t know if Marvel would be interested in that right now. I don’t know what their thoughts are about that. I haven’t really pursued that.

Church is also thrilled about the possibility of the new movie coming to life and hopes to be a part of it, even if it’s just in a cameo. Of course, these are only speculations and rumors, but it is no secret that the fourth Spider-Man movie was planned in the past, as Sony even pushed it toward the pre-production stage.

After working on ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,’ Sam Raimi realized that the existence of the Multiverse has opened up the Marvel Universe to many possibilities and potential team-ups. He loved working with Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst on the original Spider-Man trilogy and would not mind doing that again.
