The Star Wars TV shows are no strangers to having characters crossover from other series. This was evident with Din Djarin appearing in ‘The Book of Boba Fett,’ even having a full episode dedicated to him.  With ‘Ahsoka’ and ‘The Mandalorian’ both taking place between 9 and 11 BBY, the big question has been whether or not the famous Mandalorian and Grogu will appear in ‘Ahsoka.’ That’s what we are here to find out. So will Din Djarin and Grogu appear in ‘Ahsoka’?

Din Djarin and Grogu may appear in ‘Ahsoka,’ even if it is just small appearances or cameos. With the two series roughly going on simultaneously, there is bound to be some crossover with the characters. Considering they are both fighting the Empire, it’s not unusual that they ask for help from one another.  It also depends on the time scale of the shows; if ‘Ashoka’ takes place in the middle of ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3, then it’s not likely to happen, but if it’s at the end, then it is likely.

Now that we have briefly discussed whether Din Djarin and Grogu will appear in ‘Ahsoka,’ let’s analyze it in more detail. If you’re interested in what Din Djarin and Grogu were up to during ‘Ashoka’ or how their appearance could lead to an upcoming Star Wars movie, stay with us and keep reading!

What are Din Djarin and Grogu up to?

With both shows taking place simultaneously, Din and Grogu would currently be trying to reunite the Mandalorians and take down Moff Gideon. Grogu is also learning how to be a Mandalorian and is being trained by Din Djarin. If ‘Ashoka’ takes place in the middle of ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3, then a crossover is highly unlikely as, at this point, Djarin and Grogu would have been on Mandalore fighting against the Empire. However, it is possible that ‘Ahsoka’ takes place near the end of ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3, making a crossover even more likely.

How did ‘The Mandalorian’ Season 3 end?

At the end of the season, Din Djarin officially adopts Grogu as his child, with Din doing missions for the New Republic. Now, if ‘Ahsoka’ takes place at the end of ‘The Mandalorian’ then a crossover is highly likely. With Din working for the New Republic, he could easily get hired to go on a mission with Ahsoka or even cross paths on the same mission at any point. Due to the both of them knowing each other quite well, it wouldn’t be unusual for Ahsoka to request his help, and if Din Djarin appears, then his newly adopted son, Grogu, is more than likely to join.

Dave Filoni’s Star Wars movie

One major reason that Din Djarin and Grogu may appear would be to set up Dave Filoni’s upcoming Star Wars film. We may not have a release date for the film, but we know it will culminate all the Disney+ Star Wars shows, with Thrawn being the main villain. With Thrawn being a villain in ‘Ahsoka,’ it would make sense that Din Djarin appears to help set the film up. Thrawn will be a major presence in the future of Star Wars, and having some characters appear in ‘Ahsoka’ to try to go against him for the first time would establish how much of a threat he is.
