What Episode Does Barry Meet Supergirl in ‘The Flash’ Series?

If you follow this order, you’ll follow the storyline seamlessly as the shows and their plots intertwine while also enjoying the ‘Supergirl’ show’s each season fully. Over the next few paragraphs, I’ll explain how all these shows and episodes are connected and what the best way to watch them is.

Bear in mind there might be spoilers for the ‘Arrowverse’ throughout the rest of the article.

Are ‘Supergirl’ TV show’s episodes & crossovers connected? What’s the best way to watch them?

Naturally, all of the episodes within the ‘Supergirl’ show are connected but also fit the larger narrative of the ‘Arrowverse’ and crossover connections. When ‘Supergirl’ Season 1 came out, it remained somewhat separated from the rest of the ‘Arrowverse’ until Episode 18, when Kara Zor-El and Barry Allen first crossed over in the same show.

From that point forward, the plots of multiple shows intertwined to create major events, just like in the comics. For instance, the ‘Elseworld’ storyline was told in three parts and three separate episodes, each being a part of a different standalone show.

Now, I believe the best way to watch all of Supergirl’s appearances, either in her own show or crossover episodes, is in the order I’ve laid out in the list above. That’s also the release order in which the crossover shows came out, and it will tell you the story in the correct order without mixing the chronological order of events.

‘Supergirl’ TV show episodes & crossovers in chronological order

If you want to watch ‘Supergirl’ in the correct chronological order, including the crossover episodes, all you need to do is follow the list presented above. The chronological order of events is particularly laid out this way, and it’s important to watch them in the correct order, as single storylines usually come in multiple parts.

Although some episodes of ‘Supergirl’ also serve as crossover episodes, I still suggest watching entire seasons of the show completely and then diving into the crossover episodes. It’s the best way to follow the chronological order of events while getting the most out of a single character and their separate arc.

Where to watch the above-mentioned shows & episodes?

Most of the Arrowverse TV shows – including ‘Supergirl’ – are streaming on Netflix. However, some of the shows belonging to the same universe are not available on Netflix. Instead, you’ll need Max to stream them, or you can find all the shows to buy/rent on Amazon, Vudu, Apple TV, Google Play, or the Microsoft Store.

Will there be more ‘Supergirl’ seasons or appearances?

The ‘Supergirl’ series is officially wrapped after six seasons, and there likely won’t be any more of the show, at least not in the same format. Now, we did see Kara Zor–El appear in ‘The Flash’ Season 9, after ‘Supergirl’ Season 6 was already done. In the DC(E)U, however, a new ‘Supergirl’ has been introduced, so it’s kind of doubtful we’ll see the ‘Arrowverse’ Kara again.

Never say never, though. Have something to add? Let us know in the comments below!
