Zendaya is currently a household name, mostly among the younger audiences due to her roles in ‘Euphoria,’ ‘Dune,’ and MCU’s ‘Spider-Man’ film series. The best part about the young actress is how down-to-earth she appears, as she is always commended as having almost effortless and natural charm.

Zendaya wasn’t always a mega-popular star, but her career did take off even before she starred alongside Holland’s Spider-Man. Unfortunately, both Amy Pascal and Kevin Feige were totally unaware of her.

In a recent Vogue feature covering Zendaya, Amy Pascal revealed that neither she nor Feige knew who the young actress was, but she totally won them over and they just knew she had to be in the movie:

To be honest with you, neither Kevin Feige nor I knew who she was. She was wearing no makeup and she was just dressed like a regular girl, and we were like, ‘Oh my God, she’s amazing. She has to be in the movie. And then we found out she was a totally famous person, and felt really stupid.

Zendaya’s breakout role was definitely that of Rocky Blue in ‘Shake It Up.’ She also played K.C. Cooper, a high school student turned spy, in the Disney Channel series ‘K.C. Undercover’ from 2015 to 2018. Additionally, she starred as Halley Brandon in the Disney Channel original movie ‘Frenemies’ (2012), where she played one of the main characters.

Her rise to worldwide fame was however her role in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ in 2017, she joined the MCU as MJ, a classmate and eventual love interest of Peter Parker, her role in the movie series only grew with time, and it was already confirmed that Zendaya will reprise her role in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4’ which is currently in development.
