If you are a fan of “The Snyder Cut” or Snyder’s ‘Justice League’ we have some good news for you. ‘The Rebell Moon’ director just teased on his Vero Social Media profile that his cut of ‘Justice League’ will be released in theaters.
No release date has been given and details are non-existent for now so we aren’t quite sure whether it’s going to be a limited release, USA-only release, or worldwide release, but chances are it’s the former.
The director did not share plenty of information he only urged the fans to stay tuned for the release date.
Originally, Snyder had to step away from the film’s production due to a family tragedy, and Joss Whedon was brought in to complete the film. The theatrical release of ‘Justice League’ in 2017 was met with mixed reviews and criticism for its departure from Snyder’s original vision.
In response to fan demand and a campaign on social media (#ReleaseTheSnyderCut), Warner Bros. announced in 2020 that Zack Snyder’s version of the film would be released on HBO Max. This new version, titled ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ or simply the “Snyder Cut,” features plenty of additional footage, restored scenes, different character arcs, and a darker tone more in line with Snyder’s style. It premiered on HBO Max in March 2021 and was received positively by fans and critics alike, marking a significant event in the realm of director’s cuts and fan-driven campaigns.
We’ll update you with more information when we have them. Have something to add? Let us know in the comment below!
