1. Star Wars: Skeleton Crew – TBA 2024

‘Skeleton Crew’ is the next major project in the Star Wars universe, set in the same timeline as ‘The Mandalorian’. Jude Law stars as an unnamed Force user alongside a cast of child actors. The show follows four children who stumble upon a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, leading them into a perilous journey across a strange and dangerous galaxy. Finding their way home, encountering unlikely allies and enemies, will prove to be a grander adventure than they ever imagined. The series is slated for a 2024 release, with a specific date yet to be confirmed.

2. LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy – September 13, 2024

The LEGO Star Wars franchise has seen considerable success, making ‘LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy’ a perfect choice for mild-mannered, child-friendly entertainment. Featuring voice talents including Ahmed Best and Mark Hamill, the series promises: “After discovering an ancient relic with the power to alter reality, young Sig Greebling embarks on a quest to restore balance with the guidance of a mysterious, long-forgotten Jedi.” Scheduled for release on September 13, 2024, on Disney+, the series comprises four episodes.

3. The Mandalorian & Grogu – May 22, 2026

One of the most highly anticipated new projects is The Mandalorian & Grogu, which continues the beloved series in the form of a theatrical movie. Currently in pre-production, the movie is scheduled for a worldwide release on May 22, 2026.

4. Untitled New Jedi Order film – TBA

Similar to The Acolyte, this movie has generated significant buzz online. It is intended as a sequel to Episode IX of the Sequel Trilogy, centering on Rey’s efforts to establish a new Jedi Order. Daisy Ridley returns in the role of Rey, with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directing from a script by Steven Knight. While currently in pre-production, the movie does not yet have a tentative release window as of the time of writing.

5. Untitled Dawn of the Jedi film – TBA

James Mangold’s upcoming Star Wars film continues to evolve, but recent developments suggest a strong focus on exploring the origins of the Force and the Jedi Order, which is highly anticipated. Directed by Mangold and co-written with Beau Willimon, the film promises a deep dive into the lore’s history. Currently in development, the movie does not yet have a planned release date.
