Given the significance of this ranking, we are excited to share the results with you. Here are the top 10 most gruesome deaths in The Boys, ranked from 10th to 1st place. Enjoy!
10. Unnamed robber
Season 2, Episode 6, “The Bloody Doors Off”
The poor guy never saw it coming. He was crushed by Homelander, who didn’t even glance at him, all while making out with Stormfront. It was a truly miserable way to die. As if the kiss scene wasn’t repulsive enough, the unfortunate man had to die with that as his last sight.
9. Susan Raynor
Season 2, Episode 2, “Proper Preparation and Planning”
At this point, Neuman’s powers were still a mystery, making Susan Raynor’s head suddenly exploding a shocking surprise for everyone. It’s unclear why Neuman didn’t use this deadly ability more often, but this scene was undeniably brutal and terrifying.
8. Aleksy Lutz
Season 1, Episode 3, “Get Some”
Popclaw was a fascinating character whose drug addiction played a crucial role in the story. Before the Boys exploited her addiction, she injected herself and had sex with poor Aleksy Lutz. While sitting on his face, she inadvertently used too much power and crushed his head like a pimple. Quite a gruesome scene!
7. The whale
Season 2, Episode 3, “Over the Hill with the Swords of a Thousand Men”
The poor creature was The Deep’s attempt to gain an advantage in a fight, but it stood no chance against Billy Butcher. Known for his brutal tactics, Butcher didn’t hesitate to use the boat’s motor to massacre the animal, showing no mercy.
6. Translucent
Season 1, Episode 2, “Cherry”
Among the many deaths in the series, Translucent’s demise stands out as one he truly deserved. While it was necessary to eliminate him, his brutal end was fitting. Due to his diamond-hard skin, the Boys decided to blow him up from the inside, with Hughie planting a bomb in his butt. You can imagine the rest.
5. Unnamed terrorist
Season 2, Episode 1, “The Big Ride”
While attacking Naqib’s hideout, Black Noir takes down one of the guards, puts his hands in the guy’s mouth, and rips him apart in one of the most brutal moments of the whole series. Black Noir did not get many such moments, but this one will stick with us. That’s all we have for you, really.
4. The politicians
Season 2, Episode 8, “What We Know”
Remember poor Raynor? Neuman later unleashed her powers on her colleagues, resulting in a shocking bloodbath carried out for her own gain. This unexpected carnage proved Neuman’s status as one of the most dangerous characters in the series, a fact further confirmed in Seasons 3 and 4, until her own brutal and gruesome demise.
3. Madelyn Stillwell
Season 1, Episode 8, “You Found Me”
In a somewhat heartbreaking moment, Homelander decides to kill his “mother,” Stillwell, in a brutal fashion. What begins as an intimate moment ends with Homelander burning two holes in Stillwell’s head by lasering her eyes out. The scene is shown in graphic detail, capturing the full horror of the act. Stillwell may have had it coming, but it was still a shocking moment.
2. Unnamed Russian mobster
Season 2, Episode 5, “We Gotta Go Now”
While the victim was just an unnamed mobster, this scene highlighted Kimiko’s brutal nature and the true extent of her danger. The graphic, full frontal scene is as gruesome as you’d expect, underscoring her capacity for violence. Although Kimiko doesn’t have many moments like this due to the writers’ intention to portray her as a hero, this scene clearly demonstrates her formidable capabilities.
1. Robin
Season 1, Episode 1, “The Name of the Game”
While this scene may not be as graphic as others on the list, given the series’ usual blend of blood and violence, it stands out for its impact. It was one of the show’s earliest moments and significantly influenced the storyline. Seeing Robin die so tragically and witnessing Hughie grapple with the reality of A-Train’s devastating act during an intimate moment remains deeply heartbreaking. It’s a moment that still tugs at our emotions.
