The Latest DC Animated Show – ‘Kite Man: Hell Yeah!’ Surpasses the Entirety of DCEU When It Comes to Audience and Critics Ratings

‘Kite Man: Hell Yeah!’ (originally announced as “Noonan’s”) is a spin-off of the adult animated series ‘Harley Quinn.’ Announced on March 11, 2022, it premiered on Max on July 18, 2024. The first season consists of 10 episodes and will conclude on September 12, 2024.

If you’re not familiar with the character, Kite Man is a recurring character on the TV series ‘Harley Quinn’ and is a supervillain who specializes in kites, the ex-fiancé of Poison Ivy, and the current boyfriend of Golden Glider.

Back when the show was announced fans were skeptical since such an insignificant character was getting its own spinoff show, but as it turns out the show managed to surprise just about anyone and it currently boasts extremely high critics and audience approval ratings on Rotten Tomatoes, currently standing at 91% and 100% respectively.

Keep in mind that these scores are bound to go down eventually and the pool for these reviews is limited since only three episodes aired so far and not that many people have seen it.

Still, fans found the humor in the whole situation pointing out that the “irrelevant” spinoff show has better ratings than the entirety of DCEU, especially the cinematic universe’s “crown jewels” ‘Batman V Superman’ and ‘Justice League.’

The show and the DCEU aren’t really comparable so it comes down to being a good innocent joke.
