Fans Figured Out Iron Man’s Kill Count in the MCU – The Numbers Are Eye-Watering

Despite MCU movies (with the exception of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’) not being R-rated, there’s plenty of gruesome violence taking place in them. From off-screen deaths that we can only assume took place to Thanos wiping away half of all life in the universe via Infinity Gauntlet, the death count in the MCU is at this point too hard to calculate.

While we are often focusing on Thanos’ kill count, we mostly forget about the Avengers. Fans have recently worked out kill counts for several groups and several superheroes in the MCU, and the number is staggering.

Fans and various wikis online have been trying to estimate which Avenger is the most lethal, and as it turns out it’s one superhero without superpowers – Iron Man.

Estimates of Iron Man’s kill count vary significantly. One source, the List of Deaths Wiki, cites 75,350 deaths, primarily from ‘The Avengers,’ while not including those affected by the snap in ‘Avengers: Endgame.’

Another source, the Killcounts Wiki, uses the same total but attributes 74,999 deaths to ‘Endgame’ and excludes the nuclear strike in ‘The Avengers.’ In both cases, the count falls short of what might be expected, suggesting the real number according to Looper should be closer to 150,000. Stark’s use of power, from nuclear missiles to the Infinity Gauntlet, results in an unparalleled and devastating kill capacity.

It’s strange to perceive Iron Man as having such a drastic kill count considering that his selfless sacrifice saved half of all life in the universe, but it is what it is, Stark was a flawed character and this is why he resonated with the audiences so well.

Speaking of surprising kill count, we must also mention that seemingly the most destructive Avenger has the highest “life count.” While using the Infinity Gauntlet, Bruce Banner aka Hulk managed to restore an untold number of lives. This gives him the title of the true life bringer in the MCU, a record that perhaps will never be shattered.
