‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was released over a week ago, and the movie keeps breaking box-office records with an overwhelmingly positive response from fans. The movie is filled with references, gags, cameos, and instances of 4th wall breaking – you know, the usual for Deadpool.

In one scene over the course of the movie, TVA’s Mr. Paradox shows Deadpool a screen on which Thor can be seen crying hunched over Deadpool’s screen. Mr. Paradox says that Deadpool wasn’t supposed to see that as he changes the scene.

Jokester that he is, Ryan Reynolds posted the scene on social media, with the caption “I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it.”

Fans immediately started joking around in the comments and dismissed the scene as nothing but a random gag from a movie until Chris Hemsworth, aka MCU’s Thor, joined the discussion:

This in turn led to the development of an interesting theory that states that Deadpool will die during the events of ‘Secret Wars.’

During ‘Secret Wars,’ storyline, which inspired the upcoming movie, at least in the name, the Thor Corps acted as the police of Battleworld, suggesting that Thor variants will play a major role in the film.

There’s also a ‘Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars,’ storyline that details Deadpool’s involvement in the 1984 Secret Wars which was “accidentally erased,” hinting that the MCU might also overlook Deadpool’s contributions, or that TVA will somewhat be responsible for erasing his contribution in the cinematic event.
