Nathan Fillion is a well-known name among fans of fantasy and science fiction. Beyond his iconic role in the beloved series Firefly, Fillion has also made his mark in several comic book films, both in live-action and voice roles. In the MCU, he has taken on four distinct roles.
Thanks to his friendship with director James Gunn, Fillion appeared in three different roles within the Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy. In the first film, he played a monstrous alien who menaced Peter while he was imprisoned but was subdued by Groot and Rocket. In the second film, Fillion portrayed Simon Williams, an actor who eventually becomes Wonder Man, although the role ultimately went to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. In the third film, Fillion’s most substantial role in the trilogy was as Master Karja.
Additionally, Fillion recently voiced Headpool, a variant of the main superhero, in his latest MCU appearance.
