It Ends with Us is an upcoming American romantic drama directed by Justin Baldoni, adapted from Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel. The film stars Blake Lively, Justin Baldoni, Brandon Sklenar, Jenny Slate, and Hasan Minhaj.

Lively, who recently wrapped up her role as Lady Deadpool in Deadpool & Wolverine—a film featuring her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and Hugh Jackman—brings fresh momentum to her role in this new drama.

Promotion for It Ends with Us is already underway, and Ryan Reynolds has taken to his YouTube channel to support the film. He recently featured Brandon Sklenar, who plays the romantic lead opposite his wife, Blake Lively, in the upcoming movie.

The entire interview is a riot, with Reynolds going out of his way to be awkward while Sklenar plays along with exaggerated embarrassment. At one point, Reynolds humorously comments on Sklenar’s backside, adding to the comedic moment.

Is that genetics? Do you have some sort of, like, low-angle squat routine to pop that region in that way? I mean, what’s going on here, man? Are you smuggling pumpkins? Got a couple of small pumpkins there? Jesus Christ, my heart is beating like crazy right now.

At around the 4-minute mark, Hugh Jackman makes a dramatic entrance into the interview.

Hugh: It’s not everyday a guy gets to interview the love interest of his best friend’s wife, and the guy trying to replace Ryan as a husband, and me as his best mate.

Brandon: Holy Shit

Hugh: I’ve never done an interview before, but I’ve done a lot of things, like crazy things, in Australia. You do understand you can’t even get into preschool unless you take a person’s life with your own bare hands. Twice.

Brandon: Totally

Hugh: So listen, I’ve just got one question. What the hell are you doing messing with my best buddy’s wife?

Brandon: Sir, I have no idea, what’s happening at all, today. But I do have to say, while I have you here. Your work in Les Mis…What a triumph! I mean I am a huge fan. You can do it all, you’re a unicorn.

I must emphasize again that the interview was absolutely hilarious, all in good fun and quintessentially Ryan Reynolds! What are your thoughts? Share them in the comments below!
