Vincent D’Onofrio Teases Violence in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ that Surpasses the Original Show: “I can’t believe it made it into the cut”

‘Daredevil Born Again’ is the most exciting upcoming MCU TV show. The show was originally imagined as a soft-reboot of the original Netflix show, but after a massive creative overhaul, it’s going to serve as sort of a continuation, considering that the Defenders saga has been declared to be canon to the MCU.

The most recent update for the show revealed at D23 showcased the return of Punisher and Kingpin, with whom Daredevil will have some kind of an agreement. Suprising connection comes also to Ms. Marvel, as Yusuf Khan can be seen in one of the trailer’s shots.

White Tiger and Muse will also make an appearance, with Muse being set up as one of the main threats in the show. We know that the show will be action-packed with Cox previously teasing one-shot fight sequences that will surpass even the hallway fight featured in Netflix’s ‘Daredevil.’

Now in the most recent interview with Rotten Tomatoes, Vincent D’Onofrio, set to return to the show as Wilson Fisk, teased the levels of action that surpass the original show. According to the actor, his character did some things he can’t believe made it to the final cut of the show:

There are some things in this show, that we go much further with than we did on the original show. There’s one thing in particular, that my character does – that I can’t believe made it into the cut.

We’re going to believe D’Onofrio when it comes to this one as Marvel is seemingly moving toward more adult-oriented content. Kingpin has already appeared in ‘Echo’ miniseries focusing on the character of the same name, and that show was TV-MA rated and showcased plenty of violence, there’s no reason for ‘Born Again’ not to raise the bar on this one.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is set to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025. The series will feature 18 episodes, split into two halves of nine episodes each, and will be part of Phase Five of the MCU.
