The Star Wars universe is one of the most expansive fictional realms ever created. What began with George Lucas’ original film has grown into a vast universe brimming with countless stories. Jon Favreau’s The Mandalorian has significantly contributed to this lore, enriching the Star Wars cinematic experience.

The series became a major success and is widely regarded as the most acclaimed Star Wars project of the Disney era. Following three successful seasons and several crossovers, it has been officially announced that the series will continue with a movie titled The Mandalorian & Grogu, set for release on May 22, 2026.

Although recent footage from D23 has teased the upcoming film, many questions remain, including whether Katee Sackhoff will reprise her role as Bo-Katan Kryze, a key character in the series.

Anticipation for The Mandalorian & Grogu is high, with fans eagerly awaiting its release. Pedro Pascal will return as Din Djarin, the titular Mandalorian, alongside Grogu, the beloved co-star. The film will also feature Zeb making his live-action debut and include Snow Troopers, though many details remain under wraps.

One of the biggest casting questions is whether Giancarlo Esposito will reprise his role as Moff Gideon. Fans are also curious about the return of other notable characters from the franchise, such as Bo-Katan Kryze, portrayed by Katee Sackhoff. Bo-Katan is a significant figure not only in The Mandalorian but throughout the broader Star Wars lore, having appeared in previous animated works.

Recently, Sackhoff was asked about her potential return for the movie, and here’s what she shared with the press:

“Number one, if I knew I wouldn’t tell you. And if I did tell you, they’d probably kill me.”

As of now, there’s no official confirmation regarding her involvement. While one might assume she would reveal her absence if she weren’t part of the movie, that doesn’t necessarily validate the theory. We remain hopeful that she will appear in some capacity.
