He’s the Dr. Doom variant of the FF’s universe.

He’ll assist the FF in defeating Galactus, but will siphon off a large amount of cosmic energy from the battle and leave the FF to die, they’ll survive of course.

The after credits scene will show that he’s been in contact with the Doctor Doom variant played by RDJ and they’re been sharing information about the multiverse.

On a side note, Malkovich’s Doom will wear Dooms classic armor, while RDJ’s Doom will wear an armor that looks like Doom’s Infamous Iron-Man armor

The cosmic energy he siphoned is used to power a machine that allows him to travel the multiverse.

They’re both members of the Council of Doom, a group of multiversal variants of Doctor Doom that plan on attacking and overthrowing the council of Kang’s.

The plan is that they will overthrow Kang and that each Doom will become of the sole ruler of their universe.

But naturally they’re all planning on killing each other to become the sole ruler of the multiverse.

The war between Doom and Kang and the subsequent Civil War between the Dooms will cause the multiverse to destabilize, which will start to cause incursions that destroy entire timelines.

But the twist is that it’s not RDJ’s Doom that ends up winning the Doomwar, it will be John Malkovich’s Dr. Doom. He’ll be the one to usurp Loki and become God Emperor Doom and collapse all the timelines into Battleworld.

RDJ’s Doom will actually end up helping the heroes defeat Malkovich’s Doom in Secret War.
