One of the “Weakest” Avengers Is Arguably the Strongest One – He Has Never Lost a Fight in the MCU!

When talking about the most powerful Avenger in the MCU, we mostly think about Thor, Scarlet Witch, or Hulk and there are numerous debates out there covering pros, cons, and different power levels and situations.

We often overlook the feats of weaker characters, and one of the weakest Avengers is arguably the strongest if you look at his overall survivability rate and feats. We’re talking about Hawkeye of course, as there is still a debate raging in the community about whether to consider his extraordinary marksmanship a superpower or not.

Clint Barton, known for his exceptional marksmanship and archery skills, has insane situational awareness which was evident when he was the only one to sense and incapacitate Wanda Maximoff during the Battle at the Salvage Yard. Hawkeye’s ability to figure out threats even surpasses that of other Avengers, including enhanced humans and powerful cosmic-level beings. But this is only the beginning of his feats.

Hawkeye is frequently seen taking down targets far more powerful than he is, numerous Chitauri Troopers, an entire Chitauri Chariot, Ultron Sentries, and numerous other secondary enemies.

Talking about more powerful threats, however, Hawkeye fought Black Widow to a standstill while brainwashed by Loki, losing only due to her guerrilla tactics. He later fought evenly against her during the ‘Civil War.’ Hawkeye also went up against Scarlet Witch and Black Panther, he perhaps isn’t able to eliminate them completely but he held his own in both instances, avoiding Wanda’s manipulation powers.

Hawkeye went up against the God of Thunder himself, in ‘Avengers.’ Hawkeye, who is under Loki’s mind control, battles Thor. Their fight is intense and presents both of their combat skills in the best possible light, with Hawkeye using his archery and Thor wielding Mjolnir. The fight ends when Thor, having incapacitated Hawkeye continues his search for Loki.

The list gets only bigger and more impressive if we take into account Hawkeye’s feats as Ronin.

Hawkeye also played a key role in defeating Ultron, and speaking of key roles, fans have hilariously pointed out that when Hawkeye was absent in ‘Infinity War’ the Avengers lost, while they won in the ‘Endgame’ while he was present. This means that Hawkeye’s presence seems to be the prevailing factor when it comes to Avengers fighting pretty much anybody.
