MCU has quite a lot of projects on its release slate both when it comes to movies and Disney+ shows. In recent weeks we’ve gotten quite a few updates on MCU’s ‘Vision’ show bound to focus on White Vision.
James Spader was confirmed to return as Ultron in the show, with Scarlet Witch possibly making an appearance as well. While ‘Vision’ was confirmed to be part of a ‘WandaVision’ trilogy along with ‘Agatha All Along,’ recent rumors might indicate that the show is a part of one more trilogy – one related to West Coast Avengers.
This rumor was put forward by somewhat reputable source Daniel Richtman, as he stated on his private Patreon that the live-action show might feature some elements from the West Coast Avengers comic-book series:
The West Coast Avengers are a superhero team from Marvel Comics, distinct from the main Avengers team, and they primarily operate on the West Coast of the United States. Some of the most notable members of the team are Hawkeye, War Machine, Wonder Man, Tigra, Mockingbird, Iron Man, the Thing, Hank Pym, Moon Knight, Scarlet Witch and ultimately even Vision was a member.
As you can see the majority of characters on the list of popular members are already part of the MCU, while some are yet to be introduced. Considering the team’s roster it’s not that far-fetched to expect that the upcoming ‘Armor Wars’ movie and the show focusing on ‘Wonder Man’ will in one way or another be connected to Vision.
‘Vision,’ ‘Armor Wars,’ and ‘Wonder Man’ might be origin stories for the future MCU team, and Ultron might be the villain to unite them. Naturally, we can expect cameos from Hawkeye, Moon Knight and Pym if the rumors turn out to be correct.
Not much is known about the upcoming projects in general, we know that ‘Vision’ takes place following the events of ‘WandaVision’ and will follow White Vision after he managed to escape. ‘Wonder Man’ Wonder Man’ will be a Hollywood satire featuring Williams as an actor-turned-superhero in Tinseltown.
‘Armor Wars’ is reported to follow a Marvel Comics storyline of the same name, but it’s also expected to be severely altered due to obviously Iron Man no longer being around following his death in the MCU.
