It’s been almost 3 years since ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ was released, and we know that the start of a new trilogy is upon us. The movie was confirmed to be in development several months ago with both Feige and Holland, the main star of the movie commenting on it.

We know that Holland and Zendaya will reprise their roles, but beyond that, we can only speculate on what kind of direction the story will take.

In recent months, there’s been talk that the story might take on two possible directions, either a street-level adventure or a multiversal story. The latest insider reports claim that ultimately it was decided that Spider-Man’s next chapter will continue the multiversal trend. This means that the rumors and speculations have once again turned toward the merger with possible Spider-Verse.

It’s also long been rumored that live-action Miles Morales will debut in the upcoming installment and with him a plethora of supporting characters. But what does Moon Knight have to do with any of it?

Well, he doesn’t exactly. Oscar Isaac who is in the context of the MCU most notable for portraying Moon Knight in the Disney+ series of the same name might be back, but as Miguel O’Hara.

Miguel O’Hara played the secondary antagonist in SpiderVerse films so far. He is the Spider-Man of Earth-928 also known as Spider-Man 2099. Miguel, along with his society, works to handle anomalies, including villains from other universes who were accidentally displaced. He also focuses on maintaining “canon events,” a mission that ultimately leads to a conflict with Miles Morales.

There’s no reason for Isaac not to portray Miguel in live-action, considering that he is Moon Knight only on Earth-616, since the Spider-Verse film franchise takes place in a different reality (and Sony universe) he can easily transform into a different character, just like RDJ can portray both Doom and Iron Man.

Due to Spider-Man’s and Strange’s penchant for messing with the timelines, it’s quite possible that Peter Parker of Earth-616 eventually comes up on O’Hara’s radar as a potential threat, just like Morales did in the latest installment.

When it comes to Moon Knight, there have been rumors that the second season of the show is still in development, and we know that we can expect to see the character in ‘Marvel Zombies,’ and the potential ‘Midnight Sons’ project that’s reportedly in development.
