MCU is slowly preparing us for the next two ‘Avengers’ installments, ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’ We know that Victor Von Doom is being set up as the main villain of the Multiversal Saga, and the Avengers are currently non-existent.

We can expect that the team starts to form in the upcoming ‘Captain America: Brave New World,’ and as you all know some new faces will have to replace the members who are either dead or retired.

As the new team forms, the big question is who will lead them? Captain America and Captain Marvel are seemingly the first choices as they are the most experienced when it comes to leadership, and military organization with Captain Marvel also being one of the most powerful Avengers.

We know that the leader of the Avengers has to be someone with tactical and strategic know-how, and someone who can inspire other team members. Someone who acts in high-pressure situations.

Well, the two candidates we decided to think about as the next leaders only partially fit those criteria, but hear us out, either Spider-Man or Doctor Strange should be the leader of Avengers during the Multiverse Saga.

Now Spider-Man has consistently made tough decisions that demonstrate his growth and maturity. His choice to turn down Tony Stark’s offer to join the Avengers until he felt truly ready shows his understanding of responsibility and leadership. Peter has already made plenty of sacrifices in the MCU and has almost the most experience with Multiverse-stuff-gone-wrong and his experience would be invaluable when dealing with a crisis of this magnitude.

His experiences with the multiverse, particularly his interactions with his alternate selves, have given him unique insights into the complexities of multiverse threats. There’s also the fact that he currently has nothing to loose, as ‘No Way Home’ left him alone and broke, and no one remembers him, so rising up to lead Avengers would be a perfect “from rags to riches story.”

There’s also his unique connection to Tony Stark. Spider-Man and Iron Man shared a unique connection in the MCU before Stark’s death during the ‘Avengers: Endgame,’ so if Doctor Doom ends up being connected to Stark it might offer viewers the kind of dynamic that Gamora and Thanos had on-screen.

Some speculations have appeared recently that ‘Spider-Man 4’ might be released between ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars’ and the main story of the movie was reportedly rewritten as Multiverse story instead of going for a street-level approach. This means that Peter Parker has a massive role to play in the upcoming multiversal apocalypse. Some rumors have claimed that he is the anchor being of Earth-616, just like Wolverine was to Earth-10005.

Now, Doctor Strange is the more obvious, more qualified choice. Doctor Strange’s deep understanding of the multiverse is beyond important. His experience with the multiverse, from dealing with the consequences of spells gone wrong to navigating different realities, positions him as the most knowledgeable on multiversal threats and solutions. His experience with the Time Stone and the mystic arts equipped him with experience in dealing with threats that span across various realities.

Strange also has a strategic and tactical approach to every scenario, he wields a certain authority both inside and outside the magical community. Strange has shown an ability to negotiate and work with other powerful beings and groups, including the Illuminati and various magical entities. His diplomatic skills would be extremely valuable in uniting different factions and coordinating efforts across the multiverse.

Strange’s experience with manipulating time and reality gives him the skills needed to handle the often chaotic nature of multiversal threats. His ability to see several outcomes and make decisions based on those possibilities is needed for managing a team during a multiverse crisis.

Once again, our last argument seems to be the rumors. It’s been claimed for quite a few months now that Doctor Strange will be the most important character in the upcoming several phases, also his experience with dealing with the older roster of Avengers makes him perfect suitable for the role.
