Colin Farrell Reveals He Wore Prosthetic ‘Penguin Penis’ for His Role in ‘The Penguin’

‘The Penguin’ premiered with its first episode and so far the reactions are beyond amazing with fans going as far as to call the episode “the greatest pilot” in TV history.

Now much of that success is owed to Collin Farrell’s brilliant portrayal of Oz Cobb. When the actor was first announced to assume the role for ‘The Batman Part I’ the fans were skeptical, however, the prosthetics and makeup department did their magic and now he absolutely fits the role.

Farrell went to dramatic transformation to portray The Penguin as accurately as possible, and apparently, this included wearing a prosthetic penis for the show.

In a recent interview with People, the actor talked about the demanding makeup process for his role. He described a particular scene where Cobb is naked (though nothing is shown on screen), revealing that makeup artist Mike Marino created a “penguin penis” for him to wear.

Marino is so twisted and brilliant. He was like, ‘I made you a penguin penis.’ I said, ‘Really? They’re not even going to see it. I don’t know if I want to walk on set with a penguin penis. No, no, no, dude. It’s detachable, it’s Velcro. It’s got a beak at the end of it.’ So I had a penguin penis.

Farrell also detailed the bodysuit that allowed him to look physically like The Penguin, along with a hump and all:

That was kind of the anchor and it came up to the chin. And then the bodysuit would go under it. They were nice enough to give me a hump as well.

Judging by everything, it looks like the audience won’t be able to see the remarkable detail that the makeup and prosthetics crew went through to mimic Oz’s appearance, but at least we know that it happened right?
