New Fan Theory Suggests That Teen in ‘Agatha All Along’ Is Actually Running the Show With a Powerful Force Behind His Back

‘Agatha All Along’ recently premiered with the first two episodes, exploring a magical side of the MCU that’s long been neglected; despite some of the most powerful magic users being massive characters in the franchise.

One newly introduced character, in particular, seems to be more than we previously assumed. The Teen’s identity in the show was not revealed, although subtitles and some previous comments made by the cast and crew led us to believe that he is in fact, Billy Kaplan.

Now if the latest theory proves to be correct it’s going to follow his comic origin rather closely.

The X account going under the username Comicodigy recently posted an interesting theory that Teen made a deal with Mephisto to be brought back to life and this is what prevents everyone from hearing his identity.

In the comics, like in the MCU, Billy Maximoff and his twin brother Tommy were also constructs created by Wanda’s subconsciouses aka they weren’t real. During her marriage to Vision, the Scarlet Witch used her reality-altering powers to create twin boys, William and Thomas, from two lost souls. However, the demon Mephisto later reclaimed the souls, but Wanda’s magic had altered them so much that they destroyed Mephisto and dispersed.

William’s soul was eventually reborn as Billy Kaplan, the eldest son of Jeff and Rebecca Kaplan, Reform Jews living in New York City.

In the MCU, Mephisto’s souls aren’t used, but Billy’s connection to Mephisto can be explained through this “deal.”

The supporting evidence from this theory can mainly be found in the fact that Teen seems to be under some kind of spell or curse. The sigil on Teen’s mouth can also be interpreted as wither “W” for Wanda or “M” for Mephisto.

Mephisto was rumored to appear in the show, and we also developed several theories on how his son, Blackheart has already appeared in the series.

In any case, the deal with Mephisto would explain why he knows so much about magic, and why he is eager to accompany Agatha onto the Witches Road. He might be looking for a way to resurrect his twin brother or mother, and in true demonic nature, Mephisto possibly refused to resurrect them outright but rather gave the Teen “the means to do it himself” technically fulfilling his end of the bargain.

The more likely theory is that Mephisto has already resurrected his brother and mother, and now Teen needs to get something from the Witches Road to Mephisto since the demon should be unable to walk the road himself.
