MCU Might Have Found Its Miles Morales in ‘The Penguin Star’ Rhenzy Feliz: “I think I share some characteristics with the guy”
‘The Penguin’ recently premiered with its first episode and the show has seen overwhelmingly positive reactions both when it comes to critics and the audiences. Much of that success can be attributed to Farrell’s brilliant portrayal of Ozz Cobb and the wonderful supporting cast.
One of the supporting actors who managed to absolutely steal the show is Rhenzy Feliz’s Victor Aguilar.
We don’t know much about Aguilar, but we’ve been speculating that the show either introduced young Mr. Freeze or a younger version of Victor Zsasz. While we wait for the mystery to unfold, Rhenzy Feliz who has plenty of experience playing superhero roles is aiming for another high-profile franchise, the MCU.
Rhenzy Feliz played the character Alex Wilder in the series ‘Runaways,’ which is based on the Marvel comic of the same name. Alex is a member of a group of teenagers who discover their parents are part of a villainous organization and band together to fight against them.
Feliz recently sat down with Agents of Fandom and talked about reprising his role or taking a completely new role in the MCU. The actor said that he would love to be cast as live-action Miles Morales, as he believes there is a lot to explore there and he feels like he shares some notable characteristics with the character:
AoF: if you got a chance, because there are just so many outlets in comic book media now, have you got a chance to either [appear] in Marvel cinematic universe as Alex Wilder or play a brand new character, which would you chose and who would you choose and why?
Feliz: If I had to pick one or the other, I’d pick brand new and I’d go with Miles Morales. I think there’s a lot to explore there live-action-wise, I think that I share some characteristics with the guy. I’d love to give that a shot.
Feliz further explained that he would like to start producing things and build something from the ground up, but as far as roles go, he just wants to be part of good projects. This is primarily what allowed him to jump from his role in ‘Encanto’ to Marvel adaptation and ultimately ‘The Penguin.’
Feliz might get the opportunity to play Morales sooner than he thinks since the character is heavily rumored to appear in the upcoming ‘Spider-Man 4.’ What do you think about Feliz as Miles Morales? Let us know in the comments below!
