Wanda Reportedly to Steal the Spotlight in BOTH ‘Avengers’ Movies – Romantic Ties with RDJ’s Doctor Doom Hinted

Scarlet Witch is one of the most popular former Avengers, for the most part, due to her incredible character arc that ended somewhat on a tragic note. From villain to hero, to villain back again, Scarlet Witch “ended” her MCU journey on a self-sacrificing note.
But no one actually believes she is gone, it takes a lot more to kill one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel Universe than debris from a collapsing temple.
Due to this, fans have been speculating for the past two years about which project Scarlet Witch might re-appear. Our best bet was ‘Agatha All Along’ considering that it features her reincarnated son, Wiccan as one of the main characters.
Then there’s also that ‘Vision’ Disney+ series that’s going to see both the return of White Vision and Ultron and the show has been confirmed to be a part of a trilogy along with ‘WandaVision’ and ‘Agatha All Along.’
The options are truly numerous, but the latest reports are nothing short of shocking. According to MyTimeToShineHello, a notable leaker and scooper with a somewhat mixed track record, Scarlet Witch will be the main star of both upcoming ‘Avengers’ movies.
She will also supposedly have a romantic connection to RDJ’s Doctor Doom. I have to admit that this sounds like a stretch, especially if you take into account that Downey’s variant of Doom is not supposed to be part of the mainline MCU timeline.
Scarlet Witch and Doctor Doom have had interactions in the comics, including a storyline where they had a complicated relationship, but they were not romantically involved in the traditional sense.
One notable storyline is in ‘Avengers: The Children’s Crusade,’ where Doctor Doom plays a significant role in Wanda’s story. In this story, the Young Avengers, particularly Wanda’s son Wiccan, search for her after the events of ‘House of M,’ where she had wiped out most of the mutant population.
During the story, Doom helps Wanda regain her memories and powers, and there’s a moment where it’s implied that Doom has a manipulative interest in her.
At one point, it is revealed that Wanda and Doom were working together, with Doom claiming to have romantic feelings for her. However, this was more about Doom’s personal ambitions and his desire for power than a genuine, healthy romantic connection.
They form a brief alliance, and Doom uses Wanda’s powers in his bid to gain control of immense magical energy. This results in disastrous consequences, as Doom’s quest for power leads to more chaos.
It’s long been rumored that the MCU will eventually adapt the Children’s Crusade, especially now that we have Wiccan in the MCU. There’s also the fact that Doom somehow needs to get his hands on “immense power” in order to cause Doomsday and create Battleworld where Secret Wars will supposedly take place.
Not that he is not powerful per se, it’s just that in the comics he did use the power of Beyonder to re-create the reality. I guess in that sense Wanda could serve as a placeholder for Beyonder.
In any case, it is an interesting theory, and as you can see it can incorporated into the MCU. But in that case, we need to have at least one project focused on Doom’s and Wanda’s backstory aside from Children’s Crusade.
