New Fan Theory Explores an Intriguing Twist in the Plot of ‘Wonder Man’!

The year 2025 is set to be pivotal for Marvel as the MCU embarks on new directions. Alongside several exciting theatrical releases, fans can look forward to significant series, including Daredevil: Born Again and the upcoming Wonder Man, both slated to premiere next year.

We know quite a bit about the production of the series, including that it will be a 10-episode miniseries featuring a diverse team of directors and writers. While we have a general release year, a more specific timeframe has yet to be revealed, but our excitement for the show is palpable.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II will take on the role of Simon Williams/Wonder Man, and as the series approaches its debut, fans are buzzing with speculation about its potential plot, which Marvel is keeping under wraps. In this report, we’ll explore an intriguing fan theory regarding the storyline of the series.

In addition to Abdul-Mateen, Ben Kingsley is set to reprise his role as Trevor Slattery. They will be joined by Ed Harris as Neal Saroyan and Demetrius Grosse as Eric Williams/Grim Reaper. Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, and Byron Bowers will also be part of the cast, although their specific roles have not yet been revealed.

While the ensemble cast may hint at the direction the series will take, we still lack concrete information about the plot. However, we’ve come across an intriguing theory regarding the potential storyline that we wanted to share with you. This theory was crafted by Reddit user Identity_X-, and here’s what they propose for discussion:

My theory for the plot of Wonder Man is that Simon Williams has always wanted to be an actor, but his father has always been an inventor and wants him to take over the family business.

Simon thinks he’s gotten his first big acting break all on his own, cast as Nighthawk in a Squadron Supreme movie within the MCU and realizes his newfound stardom as an actor in a beloved franchise, but feels imposter syndrome on set after learning his father is a financier of the film.

In many ways, his work life on set will parody the dark and gritty natures of DC’s Batman and ‘The Boys’ while keeping the Marvel spirit.

One of Marvel’s troublemaker villains such as Mephisto, The Grandmaster, the Profiteer (Grandmaster’s sister), Loki, The Enchantress, or Agatha sitting in the director’s chair again will grant the cast of the Squadron Supreme movie real superpowers to become the Squadron Sinister, and Wonder Man will have to defeat the Squadron and finish the film after learning his father invested against his company to help produce the film for his son.

The final battle will ultimately destroy all the film sets and the studio lot, but the camera crew is able to salvage the rest of the film using footage from the battle and retitling it “Nighthawk” in Simon’s first starring role like he always dreamed of, earning him the title of “Wonder Man” after its success is projected to earn enough to rebuild the studio lot.
