Despite what some might suggest, Agatha All Along is thriving. In a time when superhero series are few and far between, it’s become a major source of entertainment for many, with both fans and critics expressing their satisfaction. It’s safe to say the show is performing well.

While fans have successfully predicted several key revelations—like the Teen’s identity, for instance—the series still holds plenty of mysteries and teases. In fact, some of these teases have flown under the radar, which is always a fantastic sign for a show’s depth.

One example, as some observant fans have pointed out, involves Lilia’s prophecies. Upon reviewing her words after Episode 5, titled “Darkest Hour / Wake Thy Power,” it appears that her predictions carry even more significance than we realized.

This retrospective analysis reveals that the writers are crafting something far more intricate and subtle than we initially thought—making the show’s teases even more brilliant!

Throughout the series, Lilia has delivered various prophecies, and in Alice’s case, we’ve heard her give two specific warnings: “Alice, don’t” and “Try to save Agatha.”

Initially, most people assumed Lilia was urging Alice to save Agatha at some point, but as it turned out, this led to her downfall—Alice died while attempting to expel Evanora from Agatha. While it’s a tragic outcome, it makes narrative sense, reinforcing just how dangerous Agatha truly is, as we’ve discussed before.

However, what if we misunderstood Lilia’s warnings all along? What if she wasn’t telling Alice to save Agatha but actually warning her not to? Perhaps “Alice, don’t” was the first part of a prophecy, with the second part—”try to save Agatha”—surfacing later, creating a misinterpretation of her message from the start.

This theory recently surfaced on X, and based on everything we’ve seen so far, it offers a very plausible reinterpretation of Lilia’s prophecy. It’s entirely possible that Lilia was actually warning Alice not to act, which would highlight the brilliance of the show’s writers. They may have been planting subtle clues in plain sight, anticipating that we’d overlook them.

If this seems far-fetched, consider that ambiguous prophecies have a long history, dating back to ancient times. The Oracle of Delphi, Pythia, was famous for delivering cryptic predictions.

One such prophecy, “Ibis redibis nunquam per bella peribis,” was supposedly given to Pyrrhus of Epirus before his disastrous “victory” against Rome. While different versions of the story exist, this phrase is a classic example of a prophecy that could be interpreted in multiple ways, leaving much to interpretation—just like Lilia’s warnings.
