‘Fantastic Four: First Steps’ is one of the most eagerly awaited releases in the MCU. The movie is set to come out on July 25, 2025, and is currently being filmed at Durdle Door in Dorset, England

The film will take place in an alternate reality and will introduce the Fantastic Four as well as some of their most famous villains to the cinematic universe.

The main cast has been known for a while now, Pedro Pascal will be starring as Mr. Fantastic alongside Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm. Joseph Quinn will be taking on the role of Johnny Storm aka Human Torch with Ebon Moss-Bachrach starring as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.

Speaking of the cast, recently we had the opportunity to see a first look at Bachrach’s The Thing, and now recent set leaks showcased Joseph Quinn in his Human Torch costume:

The suit that Quinn (presumably) is wearing looks like the same suit we’ve seen in the leader D23 ‘First Steps’ concept footage. The reactions to the suit are currently positive. It really matches the “retro-futuristic” vibe that ‘Fantastic Four’ is trying to nail down with all marketing materials so far.

Quinn already commented on his role on several occasions, noting how excited he is to be part of Marvel’s first family. He also humorously added that he is setting himself on fire to practice for the role. But on a serious note, Quinn took the portrayal seriously:

I’ve been training for a little while now. We’ve got another few weeks, and I’ve got a wonderful trainer named Tim who’s brilliant, and is making me do all the things I don’t want to do. We’re not going for anything too enormous, physically, he just needs to look the part, and slowly, slowly, we’re getting there.
