“Superman” is set to release next year, with James Gunn’s highly anticipated film starring David Corenswet as Superman marking the beginning of the new DCU. Fans are eager to see if Gunn’s vision will finally bring success to DC’s cinematic adaptations.

While much is already known about the film, many details remain shrouded in mystery, fueling plenty of speculation. However, one of those mysteries has now been solved. Gunn has officially revealed the first look at Krypto the Superdog, a beloved character confirmed for the movie long ago.

Fans have been eagerly waiting for a glimpse of Superman’s loyal canine companion, and now we have it!

As mentioned, we’ve known for some time that Krypto would be making an appearance, but today marks the first time we’ve actually seen him.

Though Krypto is a fan-favorite from Superman’s lore, he has never been a major player in mainstream comics. While he’s had his own stories and series, Krypto has always remained a beloved sidekick, making his inclusion in the film a big win for fans.

It’s not a huge surprise, though—James Gunn has a well-known love for animals, so adding Krypto to the film felt inevitable. Now, we finally get to see what the Superdog will look like in the movie:

Honestly, Krypto looks absolutely adorable, and we can’t help but find him super cute. There’s no doubt that his presence will win over a lot of hearts, and it seems fans are just as excited to see him in action:

Overall, Krypto’s inclusion in the movie is fantastic, and we’re thrilled to share these amazing images with you!
