Tom Holland Drops Bombshell: He Knew Robert Downey Jr. Was Coming Back as Doctor Doom!

During this year’s SDCC fans were shocked to learn that Majors’ Kang the Conqueror is no longer the main villain of the Multiverse Saga. They were even more shocked to find out that Doctor Doom will be assuming this position – played by Robert Downey Jr.

Fans have been speculating that Victor von Doom will debut, mostly due to his connection to the Fantastic Four, but no one anticipated that Downey would be playing him.

MCU stars such as Brie Larson and Sebastian Stan already commented how they found out at the same time as the fans and couldn’t believe how well-guarded that secret was.

But one other MCU star recently opened up about how he kept the secret for a relatively long time. The biggest surprise is that the star in question has a poor track record of keeping MCU secrets – Tom Holland.

In his recent appearance on Rich Roll, Holland revealed that he was aware that Downey would be returning as Doom, mostly beacuse he had a lot of talks with the actors.

I’ve been speaking to Downey a lot especially about him making his return, which is super exciting. That was a tough secret to sit on cuz I have a reputation for ruining things.

We’re honestly surprised that Holland managed to keep this a secret for a reasonable amount of time but his revelation led us to believe that Spider-Man will have a bigger role to play in Doom’s story than previously anticipated.

Otherwise, what’s the point of Holland knowing so much in advance that the actor will be returning? What’s the point of telling him, knowing that he frequently accidentally spoils things?
