While we’re still waiting for James Gunn’s DCU to officially kick off in theaters with the Superman premiere, the TV side of the DCU is moving full steam ahead. Peacemaker has already made waves, and the upcoming animated series Creature Commandos is shaping up to be an exciting and wild addition to the lineup.

Gunn has been dropping hints about the project, and we’ve seen plenty of images and videos from the show. We can confirm that more updates are on the way, and the series is set to be a big hit this winter—especially for fans of animated content.

The series is set to premiere on Max on December 5, 2024, and will wrap up on January 16, 2025, after seven episodes. Though animated, it has been confirmed as part of the DCU’s first slate, titled “Gods and Monsters.”

The voice cast includes Steve Agee as John Economos, Maria Bakalova as Princess Ilana Rostovic, Anya Chalotra as Circe, Zoë Chao as Nina Mazursky, Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., Sean Gunn as G.I. Robot and Weasel, David Harbour as Eric Frankenstein, Alan Tudyk as Doctor Phosphorus, Indira Varma as the Bride, and Viola Davis as Amanda Waller.

Guest stars include Michael Rooker, Gregg Henry, Linda Cardellini, Peter Serafinowicz, and Benjamin Byron Davis, with the iconic character Clayface also confirmed to appear.

It’s definitely an intriguing lineup, and we’re optimistic that the show will deliver, leaving fans thoroughly satisfied.
