DCU’s ‘Superman’ arrives on July 11, 2025, and as it’s been described by James Gunn, it’s going to be the first true taste of DCU, despite ‘Creature Commandos’ releasing far sooner. We know that the movie wrapped filming several months ago at this point, and besides a few promotional images and set leaks, we have nothing in terms of trailers and teasers.

This however did not stop a French news station from creating its own trailer using AI.

France TV recently aired an all-AI-generated teaser trailer for the movie as part of its culture segment. The teaser clearly shows fake David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan, with Corewnswet being in a costume, that looks badly generated and more animated than live-action.

Some of the scenes from the teaser seem to be borrowed from DCEU’s Superman. It doesn’t look good, and we have no idea how a TV network could mistake this for a legitimate trailer. But things got only worse when James Gunn saw the trailer:

Yes the vomit reaction was his first reaction, and further down in the comments the director stated that it would be better if he never saw this in the first place:

The majority of the reactions are negative, and we’re really glad this isn’t a legitimate trailer. Speaking of ‘Superman’ trailer, James Gunn addressed this issue during his panel at NYCC.

Gunn said that we should expect the first trailer soon, but not too soon. This is understandable since the movie’s marketing is still several months away from kicking it into full gear.

Let’s see some fan reactions to the “trailer”:
