The Penguin is receiving rave reviews from both fans and critics alike. It has quickly become a major hit for Max and is widely regarded as one of the best comic book series ever, a sentiment shared by audiences and reviewers.
Among the aired episodes, Episode 4, titled “Cent’anni,” stands out as a highlight. This episode serves as an origin story for Cristin Milioti’s Sofia Falcone, delving into her complicated family dynamics, particularly her relationship with her violent father, and explaining how she ended up in Arkham.
Milioti’s performance was exceptional, leaving viewers in awe.
Additionally, Episode 4 boasts an impressive rating of 9.5/10, making it the third highest-rated episode in the history of DC television series, which spans over 72 years since the debut of Adventures of Superman. Only two episodes have scored higher, with ratings of 9.6/10.
The Penguin is a hit series that everyone loves. The story is unfolding brilliantly, the cast is exceptional, and the show’s overall direction has won over fans. Among the episodes aired so far, Episode 4 stands out as the best.
Titled “Cent’anni,” this episode reveals Sofia Falcone’s story. Initially known as “The Hangman,” her character aligns with her comic book origins. However, a dark twist emerges, leading Sofia to become a victim of her family’s brutality.
Cristin Milioti delivers a stunning performance, adding depth and complexity to her character and enriching the already intricate narrative.
The episode has received widespread acclaim, currently boasting an impressive 9.5/10 rating on IMDb, making it the highest-rated in the series. Additionally, it ranks as one of the best episodes in DC television history, standing as the third best in the 72 years since Adventures of Superman first aired in 1952.
As you may know, there have been many adaptations over the years, but “Cent’anni” has managed to surpass nearly all of them. The only two episodes with higher ratings—both at 9.6/10 as of now—are Arrow’s “Lian Yu” (which features Oliver’s final showdown with Adrian Chase on Lian Yu, where he recruits unexpected allies) and The Flash’s “Out of Time” (where Mark Mardon, aka The Weather Wizard, seeks revenge for his brother’s death and Cisco uncovers Dr. Wells’s secret).
This is a significant achievement worth celebrating, and we’re thrilled that The Penguin is doing so well.
