Deadpool & Wolverine, released this summer, is the latest MCU movie. The film was a big hit, breaking many box-office records and earning over a billion dollars. With these numbers, the future looks bright for both Deadpool and Wolverine in the MCU, and Ryan Reynolds recently hinted at a part of that future.

Reynolds teased a new project by posting a photo of what looks like a Christmas-themed set. In the picture, he is partially in his Deadpool costume, hugging Leslie Uggams, who is well-known for playing Blind Al in several projects.

This can be something as small as some kind of an ad or a commercial, but it can also lead to something much bigger – a new MCU special.

The biggest hint that this could be a special comes from the background. If you focus enough you can see that the set is Christmas-themed. We already had a Christmas special in the MCU in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ franchise.

The special follows the Guardians as they try to make Christmas special for Star-Lord. Mantis and Drax come up with a plan to cheer him up after he has been feeling down since losing Gamora. They decide to travel to Earth to find the perfect gift for him.

Deadpool’s Christmas special could follow a similar theme, with Deadpool trying to cheer up Wolverine after he migrated to Deadpool’s native reality.

The special could see Deadpool gather the gang from the void, which would likely mean a cameo return of Tatum’s Gambit and Snipes’ Blade

However, we also can’t rule out a PG-13 cut of ‘Deadpool & Wolverine.’ The PG-13 cut of ‘Deadpool 2’ proved to be a major success so it stands to reason that the studio could attempt something like that once again.
