‘Agatha All Along’ recently aired its last two episodes, successfully concluding some character arcs while teasing more for the future. The show was initially conceived as a miniseries, meaning that it has a predetermined and limited number of episodes, like most MCU Disney+ series.
Now something new has surfaced regarding the show’s status. Variety reports that Disney+ has decided to submit ‘Agatha All Along’ in the comedy category for the upcoming awards season, including the Golden Globes, SAG Awards, and Emmys.
The show will compete against popular comedies like ‘Abbott Elementary,’ ‘The Bear,’ and ‘Hacks.’ This puts Hahn up against strong contenders like Jean Smart, Quinta Brunson, and Ayo Edebiri, making this a significant opportunity for her as she aims for recognition at the Emmys.
We have no doubt that ‘Agatha All Along’ is a strong contender for the show, but what we’re most interested in is the fact that it filed under Comedy instead of a Limited series.
This submission might indicate that the show is not yet over and somewhere along the line, seeing the overwhelmingly positive fan response, the studio perhaps decided to reconsider the show’s status.
Strong rumors indicate that Billy’s and Agatha’s stories are going to continue in the future. There’s that ‘Vision Quest’ upcoming show starring Paul Bettany which has been described as part of a trilogy along with ‘Agatha All Along’ and ‘WandaVision. When it comes to rumored projects, recently we’ve covered that the studio aims to develop a Wiccan standalone project, focusing on his search for his brother Tommy.
That kind of project certainly leaves enough space for Agatha to shine, but we also don’t mind her story continuing in a more straightforward manner and in the same format as ‘Agatha All Along.’
