Ali’s Blade was recently postponed indefinitely, but Feige later hinted that he will still get his time on the big screen. Furthermore, there were also rumors that ‘Blade’ is scheduled to start filming in 2025 in the United Kingdom. The film will have a smaller budget and is expected to be very dark, rated R, as they are currently working on a new script.

As for Harington’s Dane Whitman, we haven’t seen him since ‘Eternals.’ In the film’s final scenes, Dane hints to her that he’s recently discovered an old family secret. ‘Eternals’ doesn’t go all the way to superhero status with Dane, but the film’s post-credits scene points directly to Dane having a later reveal as the Black Knight.

Now, notable industry insider Alex Perez recently hosted a Q&A where he talked about what’s in store for the future of the MCU. One thing that caught our, considering their current status eye, is Mahershala Ali’s Blade and Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman:

toastef: It’s been three years since we were introduced to Dane Whitman in Eternals. What do you see happening with this character in the future?

Alex Perez: Dane’s goal right now is to try and find a way to save Sersi. But he’s desperate and has no idea what to do. Which is what leads to the post credit scene in Eternals. Where does his story go from there? Last I heard, Dane is meant to team up with Blade on the road to Midnight Sons, and Blade will help him train with the Ebony Sword so he can become the Black Knight. This also ties into what I was talking about earlier of Marvel Studios’ interest in telling stories with characters from across the pond.

Considering how ‘Eternals’ was publicly received and all the fuss with ‘Blade’ productions, it actually makes perfect sense for the two to team up in the Midnight Sons project. Who knows, Marvel could also mix it up with Jennifer Kale and Ghost Rider.

What do you think? Would you like to see the duo in Midnight Sons instead of their own solo projects? Let us know in the comments below.
