Industry Insider Reveals Part of the Reason Why ‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will Be Rated TV-MA: “He will send chills down your spine”

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ is set to release in about 4 months, and it’s already generating a lot of excitement. The show will bring back familiar characters, including Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock (Daredevil), Vincent D’Onofrio as Kingpin, Elden Henson as Foggy, and Deborah Ann Woll as Karen.

The original version of Daredevil: Born Again was canceled after filming nearly half of the episodes because it wasn’t very interesting and didn’t match the tone of Netflix’s original show. It was meant to be a courtroom drama with very little action from Daredevil.

After the creative overhaul, the show has significantly shifted its tone and level of “darkness.” This is confirmed by the show’s stars and the recent teaser trailer. The show will be more aligned with the tone of Netflix’s show with everything indicating that it will be rated TV-MA.

Vincent D’Onofrio stated that some scenes that made it to the final cut of the show were shocking. Cox revealed recently that he managed to sneak in the “F-Bomb.” He confirmed that the show will maintain the dark and intense tone of the original Netflix series, saying they worked hard to achieve this.

Now industry insider, Alex Perez, with a pretty reliable track record revealed a big part of the reason why the show will be violent and rated TV-MA. According to Perez, it’s due to Muse – a villain confirmed to appear in the show.

Muse will be a terrifying character with no redeeming qualities, and he will push both Daredevil and Kingpin to their limits. Matt, who has never intentionally killed anyone, will face situations that force him to take extreme actions, making the show darker and more intense than before.

Muse is part of the reason why this show is going to be TV-MA. He is going to be one of these villains that will send chills down your spine. There isn’t going to be a single redeeming quality about this guy, and it will scare the living crap out of everyone, even Matt. But even more so, it’s a character that pushes both Matt and Fisk beyond their limits, especially with Matt.

Matt’s never killed anyone intentionally in his show, and with everything that happens in this show, and what Matt is forced to live through, you get the feeling that he’s had enough and has to take matters into his own hands by any means necessary, and that’s kind of what’s going to make this show more special.
