The Green Goliath has long been a cornerstone of Marvel Comics, boasting some of the most iconic and impactful storylines in the publisher’s history. The Hulk’s enduring popularity is fueled not only by his raw power but also by the psychological depth in the dynamic between Bruce Banner and his alter ego—a contrast fans have always found compelling.
Unfortunately, the MCU has struggled to capture the Hulk’s full potential. While Ed Norton’s The Incredible Hulk laid a solid foundation, the character’s evolution under Mark Ruffalo’s portrayal left many fans disappointed.
Though there were highlights, the MCU’s Hulk often felt watered down compared to the legendary iterations from the comics.
However, change may be on the horizon. Rumors have been swirling about a World War Hulk adaptation, and recent buzz hints at the possible debut of Maestro in the MCU. Could this be true? According to a trusted insider, Marvel has something massive in store for the Hulk—and it might just redeem the character’s cinematic journey.
First, it’s important to emphasize that this is still an unconfirmed rumor—Marvel has not made any official announcements. So, as always, take it with a grain of salt. That said, the source behind this claim is highly reliable and has a solid track record with theories and rumors, giving fans reason to be optimistic.
The source in question is Alex Perez, a well-known insider who frequently shares insights and rumors on The Cosmic Circus. Perez recently addressed the following question on X:
hi Alex! 😁will the Hulk/Bruce play an important role in season 3 of What If?
— GiveupRiver (@like_hulk49987) November 15, 2024
In the previous seasons they didn't matter. 😥
And here is the answer:
He has a *BIG* role this season. For a specific episode. Emphasis on *BIG.* If you saw the leaks, you know what I’m referring to. https://t.co/UUsOcWKdL6

The rumor he’s referencing may stem from his most recent Q&A session, where he shared the following insight:
BraveFire: Hi Alex! Do you have anything to share with us about Hulk (World War Hulk, Hulk’s rights, his future like his next appearance or his role in the Avengers movies)? I know you teased us something about him last month on Hulk, but you were waiting for it to be verified.
Alex Perez: I still haven’t been able to corroborate the rumor just yet, waiting to hear back, but the rumor involved Maestro appearing soon.
BraveFire: What is the next version of Hulk/Bruce Banner after Smart Hulk likely to see the light of day in live action (Savage Hulk, Joe Fixit, green Skaar Hulk…)?
Alex Perez: Maestro
It’s unclear if all of this is connected, but it does seem like Marvel is making moves toward delivering a proper Hulk storyline. While Maestro could be the “big thing” Perez is hinting at, let’s be honest—if Marvel’s big plans for the Hulk amount to just one animated episode of What If…?, it won’t be enough.
Fans have been clamoring for a better live-action Hulk for years, and one animated episode won’t fully satisfy those expectations. Here’s hoping there’s much more in the works.
