Tom Holland’s Spider-Man To Take a Center Stage in ‘Secret Wars’ Due to His Connection to Multiverse’s Collapse Reports Claim

MCU is currently in the middle of the Multiverse Saga and we’re slowly witnessing the collapse of the Multiverse that will reportedly lead to a reboot and inclusion of plenty of new superheroes to the MCU.

We don’t know exactly what was the final nail in that collapse although several possible scenarios did present themselves as the last few released projects have been multiversal in nature.

Now Alex Perez, industry insider with a reliable track record has put forward an interesting rumor connected to Spider-Man. In his November Q&A, Perez suggested that Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will likely play a crucial role in ‘Secret Wars.’

He emphasized that Peter Parker’s past decisions, specifically tampering with the Multiverse in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ have had catastrophic consequences. These choices not only resulted in personal tragedies—losing his aunt, friends, girlfriend, and a normal life—but also set the stage for the destruction of the Multiverse.

Perez implies that Spider-Man’s guilt and responsibility for these events will weigh heavily on him, making him a key figure in the unfolding story of ‘Secret Wars’.

Probably one of the main leads in the movie. Part of the reason why all of this is happening is because of him. Imagine the weight that Peter had to be carrying, knowing that because of his choices, he lost his aunt, he lost his best friends, he lost his girlfriend, he lost any chance of a normal life, and now, on top of that, the universe and Multiverse get to be destroyed, all because he tampered with the Multiverse to try to get people to forget he is Spider-Man. Lots of things to weight on his mind, even for Spider-Man.

You know what they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions and Spider-Man unfortunately did not think things through when he asked Strange to cast that spell.

Perez also added that Spider-Man might appear in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’:

Alex Perez: I really wouldn’t know. I know they are trying to get him to appear in a short cameo in Daredevil: Born Again as a tease that Fisk and his Punishers are hunting vigilantes like him down, but I don’t know if it’ll pan out that we’ll physically see him.

Web Slinger currently has a movie in development, and what was originally (according to rumors) supposed to be a street-level story is now according to the latest reports a multiversal one, tying into the events of ‘Doomsday’ and ‘Secret Wars.’
