Lucasfilm is fully committing to Rey’s future in the ‘Star Wars’ saga, with multiple films centered around the character currently in development.

As revealed by industry insider DanielRPK on his Patreon, in addition to the previously announced projects by Shawn Levy and Simon Kinberg, another movie focusing on Rey is now in the works.

The first confirmed project will see Daisy Ridley reprise her role as Rey, with Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy directing. Set 15 years after ‘The Rise of Skywalker,’ the film will follow Rey’s journey as she takes on the crucial task of rebuilding the Jedi Order.

This film will delve into the post-Skywalker galaxy, offering fans a closer look at the challenges Rey faces as she becomes a mentor and leader to a new generation of Jedi.

While Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy’s film is generating the most buzz, Simon Kinberg is also attached to a separate ‘Star Wars’ project.

Famous for his work on the ‘X-Men’ series, Kinberg is reportedly developing a new trilogy.

Though details are scarce, rumors suggest the trilogy could tie into Rey’s journey, possibly connecting her story with other major figures and events in the galaxy.

Adding to the anticipation, DanielRPK has revealed that another Rey-focused film is already in early development.

Though the plot remains under wraps, it’s clear that Lucasfilm is putting significant emphasis on Rey to drive the future of the ‘Star Wars’ franchise.

This expansion into multiple storylines suggests a larger plan for Rey’s character, exploring her personal growth, her Skywalker legacy, and her mission to restore balance to the Force.

Lucasfilm’s focus on Rey reflects a bold strategy, demonstrating their commitment to telling new stories while honoring the iconic legacy of the original trilogies.

By positioning Rey at the heart of this effort, the studio is solidifying her role as a central figure in the franchise’s future.
