‘Star Wars: Skeleton Crew’ is a new live-action series set to expand the Star Wars universe. Created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford- The story follows a group of kids, likely Force-sensitive, who embark on an adventure to find their way back home after getting lost following a mysterious discovery.
The story will feature a lot of similarities with children’s classics such as ‘The Goonies,’ but will be watchable for both children and adults, as there will be a similar element to the hit series ‘The Mandalorian,’ which also features an adult (Din Djarin) taking care of a baby (Grogu).
The show stars Jude Law, with Ryan Kiera Armstrong, Robert Timothy Smith, Ravi Cabot-Conyers, Kyriana Kratter, Tunde Adebimpe, Kerry Condon, and Jaleel White rounding out the cast.
Originally the show was supposed to premiere on December 3, it will now debut on Disney+ a day early, with the first two episodes premiering on December 2 at 6 p.m. PT. The eight-episode series, starring Jude Law, will release new episodes every Tuesday at the same time. The announcement also included new artwork for the show.
It’s currently unknown why the release date was moved.
