Marvel Studios’ Loki follows Tom Hiddleston’s character as he transforms from a famous villain to a growing hero over two exciting seasons.
Even as Loki tries to change, his past mistakes still haunt him, affecting his journey.
A newly revealed deleted scene from Season 2, coming soon on 4K UHD Blu-ray, gives fans a closer look at Loki’s complex connections with other characters in the MCU.
While sharing a slice of key lime pie with his friend Mobius (Owen Wilson), Loki reflects on those who have viewed him as a troublemaker in the past.
He recalls familiar faces from Asgard, including Thor’s companions Volstagg (Ray Stevenson), Hogan (Tadanobu Asano), and Fandral (played by Josh Dallas and later Zachary Levi). Loki also mentions more personal figures like Laufey (Colm Feore), his biological father, and Bor (Tony Curran), his adoptive grandfather.
With a touch of humor, Loki highlights Heimdall, listing him twice to underscore the watchful eye he always kept on him.
Loki then shifts to Earth, naming Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård), Darcy Lewis (Kat Dennings), and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). He even gives a nod to Donald Blake, Thor’s human alter ego.
The scene includes references to comic book characters like Amora the Enchantress and Absorbing Man, Carl Creel, who haven’t yet appeared in the MCU.
A key moment in the scene focuses on Loki mentioning Hercules, the Greek demigod who made his MCU debut in the post-credits scene of Thor: Love and Thunder, portrayed by Brett Goldstein.
Hercules’ father, Zeus (Russell Crowe), expressed clear disdain for Thor in that film, hinting at a potential rivalry rooted in past clashes with Odin’s family.
Take a look at the scene below.
This glimpse into Loki’s thoughts, along with mentions of familiar and new characters, hints at deeper storylines ahead, possibly setting the stage for Hercules’ return.
The release of Loki Season 2 on 4K UHD Blu-ray on December 3 offers fans even more exclusive content and behind-the-scenes moments to explore.
