Scarlet Witch Statue in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Sparks Bold Theory: Could She Return as Doom’s Ally and Multiversal Threat?

‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ was a massive hit among the audiences, in large part thanks to plenty of fan service and numerous easter eggs and references. One of the most notable easter eggs is the Scarlet Witch statue that can be seen in the cave where members of “Resistance” are hiding.
The stone statue seems to be the exact same statue from Darkhold Castle. As you are likely aware by now, at the end of ‘Multiverse of Madness’ Wanda realizes her mistakes and in the final act of sacrifice, decides to collapse the Temple on top of herself, destroying every copy of Darkhold in existence.
But, what if instead of dying, Wanda was merely transported to the Void, where ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ takes place?
Back when ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ was released, Wanda was confirmed (alongside Kang) to be a Nexus Being, it’s possible that due to her status, instead of dying she gets automatically pruned.
But how is Doctor Doom connected to that? Well, as soon as RDJ announced his return to the MCU, not as Iron Man but rather as Doctor Doom, various theories started developing that he was actually a variant of Doctor Doom.
It’s possible that Doom was pruned at one point in time, and ended up in the Void, and that he and Scarlet Witch at one point started working together, in order to escape the Void.
This theory is supported by other rumors that claim that Wanda will eventually return to the MCU and will play a massive part in the upcoming ‘Doomsday,’ working with Doom and even serving as his romantic interest. If the rumors that the MCU plans on adapting the ‘Time Runs Out’ storyline and ‘The Children’s Crusade’ storyline end up being true. The chances of Wanda and Doom teaming up are rather high.
In ‘The Children’s Crusade,’ the Young Avengers, particularly Wanda’s son Wiccan, search for her after the events of ‘House of M,’ where she had wiped out most of the mutant population.
During the story, Doom helps Wanda regain her memories and powers, and there’s a moment where it’s implied that Doom has a manipulative interest in her. It’s possible that the MCU could adapt this by having Doom find Wanda in the Void, disoriented and suffering from amnesia.
At one point, it is revealed that Wanda and Doom were working together, with Doom claiming to have romantic feelings for her. However, this was more about Doom’s personal ambitions and his desire for power than a genuine, healthy romantic connection.
They form a brief alliance, and Doom uses Wanda’s powers in his bid to gain control of immense magical energy. This results in disastrous consequences, as Doom’s quest for power leads to more chaos.
It’s also possible that Doom might use The Void to form his “Battleworld” during ‘Secret Wars’ as the MCU is currently missing one of the main ingredients for that to happen – The Beyonder.
In any case, it’s an interesting theory, especially taking into account those recent rumors. Keep in mind that the future of the MCU seems to be leaning toward Wanda’s return. The show focused on White Vision is about to enter production, the show focusing on Wonder Man is set for a 2025 release, and her son Wiccan is currently searching for his twin brother Tommy.
