Only a few days stand between us and the release of ‘Creature Commandos’ the first DC Studios project that’s going to mark the official beginning of James Gunn’s and Peter Safran’s DCU.
The series follows a black ops team of monsters put together by Amanda Waller. All seven episodes were written by James Gunn, with Dean Lorey as the showrunner and Yves “Balak” Bigerel as the supervising director.
The cast includes Steve Agee, Maria Bakalova, Anya Chalotra, Zoë Chao, Frank Grillo, Sean Gunn, David Harbour, Alan Tudyk, Indira Varma, and Viola Davis.
After the first season of ‘Peacemaker’, Amanda Waller can no longer risk human lives for her secret missions like she did with the Suicide Squad and Team Peacemaker. Instead, she forms a black ops team of monsters called the Creature Commandos, led by General Rick Flag Sr.
Daniel Richtman, a notable industry insider claims that Anya Chalotra’s Circe who will debut in ‘Creature Commandos’ will have a big role in the future of the DCU which will be teased in the upcoming animated show.
The information originated from Richtman’s paid newsletter.
Circe won’t be “one and done” and as much was confirmed by James Gunn himself when he confirmed on social media that Chalotra will reprise her role in live-action as well.
Circe is a powerful sorceress in DC Comics, often portrayed as one of Wonder Woman’s main enemies. She has magical abilities that allow her to control minds, transform people into animals, and cast spells. Circe is known for her cunning and desire for power, often using her magic to manipulate others for her own gain. So it stands to reason that she will play a big part in the future of the DCU.
