‘X-Men: Xavier’s Secret’ #1 Preview – Shadows of Krakoa’s Fall

The X-Men’s latest chapter has been a success for both longtime fans and newcomers. Now, Marvel is giving readers a chance to uncover the secrets that set the stage for this new era. Coming this January, ‘X-Men: Xavier’s Secret’ #1 collects the first six issues of the popular ‘X-Men: From the Ashes’ Infinity Comic series, written by Alex Paknadel with stunning art by Diógenes Neves.

Previously available digitally, these stories are now coming to print for the first time. This special one-shot includes two tales that offer insights into the moments leading up to the ‘From the Ashes’ era.

These stories explore the lives of three central figures in the X-Men universe—Professor X, Cyclops, and Jean Grey—revealing the choices and events that brought them to their current crossroads.

Before going on her cosmic journey in the ongoing ‘Phoenix’ series by Stephanie Phillips and Alessandro Miracolo, Jean Grey spends one last night with Cyclops. Their farewell takes an unexpected turn when they uncover a mysterious secret that could drive them apart forever.

As far as Professor X goes, the fallout from ‘Fall of the House of X’ continues, this story explores Charles Xavier’s dark decisions during the war. What journalist Sally Floyd starts as a routine investigation into Xavier’s wartime actions quickly spirals into a startling discovery.

Set after the collapse of Krakoa, these stories show the X-Men at a time of massive change and uncertainty. The team must deal with the weight of their past while looking toward a new future.
