Marvel Announces New ‘Fantastic Four Fanfare’ Series
Marvel’s First Family is finally joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a highly anticipated reboot. The Fantastic Four movie, directed by Matt Shakman (WandaVision), features Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm.
The story, set in a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, pits the team against Galactus, a cosmic being bent on devouring Earth. Things get personal as the Silver Surfer, Galactus’ Herald, brings an ominous twist. The movie is slated to hit theaters on July 25.
Ahead of the film’s release, Marvel is celebrating the team’s comic book legacy with Fantastic Four Fanfare, a new four-issue series.
Each issue highlights a different member of the Fantastic Four through stories designed for longtime readers and newcomers alike. Writers like Jonathan Hickman, Mark Waid, and Dan Slott, as well as artists including Mark Bagley and Sara Pichelli, are contributing to this project.
The first issue, out May 7, includes a prank war between the Thing and Human Torch, a perilous mission underground, and Johnny Storm’s attempt to become a reality TV star—interrupted by the Mole Man.
The Fantastic Four are also part of Marvel’s next big crossover, “One World Under Doom“, which launches February 12. Ryan North leads this event, showcasing the Four’s battle against Doctor Doom in what promises to be an epic storyline.
With so much happening in both comics and movies, 2025 is shaping up to be a huge year for Marvel’s First Family.
