‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Will Go All-In on Brutal Violence and Shocking Twists, According to Showrunner

Daredevil is set to return in the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again series, which will finally integrate the character and the legacy of Netflix’s original series in the MCU in a proper way. The premiere is still some time away, but it seems that the show is going to be a big surprise for everyone with how dark and daring it is going to be!

Charlie Cox admits he was caught off guard by how brutal Daredevil: Born Again turned out. ‘I was hugely shocked,’ he said. ‘I expected it to be dumbed down quite a lot, and that has not been the case at all.’

He even mentioned a few scenes that he found hard to watch, something he doesn’t recall feeling before.

Showrunner Dario Scardapane didn’t hold back either. He teased one particular action scene that goes beyond anything from Netflix’s original Daredevil. ‘It’s straight-out bat-shit and way farther past anything Netflix’s Daredevil ever did,’ he said, adding that it’s ‘absolutely earned.’

As for the fate of Karen Page and Foggy Nelson, Scardapane played coy. When asked about rumors of their deaths, he responded, ‘All those rumors are true. None of them are true.‘ He pointed to the comics, where both characters have faced different fates over the years. Sounds like we’ll have to wait and see what actually happens.
